Tottenham Hotspur might have a new look to it the next season

The first team squad of Tottenham Hotspur might have a new look to it the next season as they are planning to offload all those players who, according to them, are not going to be that important for the club in the longer run.

The performance of a lot of ‘expensive’ Spurs’ players especially the strikers was pretty disappointing the previous season.

Barring Harry Kane, who was a shining light for the Londoners, nobody showed the greatest of forms.

And, that’s why; the management is looking for some shuffling to be made in the set up.

Some big names including the likes of Paulinho and Soldado would be making their way out.

There are interests for Soldado from Turkey, while, Paulinho’s wanted in Italy.

The Spurs are also believed to be willing to get rid of Emmanuel Adebayor, but, they might struggle to find a buyer for him.

Aaron Lennon has also hinted about his desire to be transferred to Everton, but, Tottenham is not having any settlement with the Toffees regarding the transfer fee. Continue reading Tottenham Hotspur might have a new look to it the next season

Rio Ferdinand says that he still has a lot of admiration for John Terry

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says that he still has a lot of admiration for John Terry as a footballer, but he still refuses to forget the racist incident involving Terry and his younger brother Anton Ferdinand.

The Chelsea captain has been in stupendous form this season and has helped the blues lift a fourth Premier league title. He joins Roy Keane as only the second captain in the Premier League history to have won four titles while captaining the team. Ferdinand enjoyed a short stint as the Manchester United captain but he was not as successful as Terry.

Speaking after the West London outfit sealed the title with a win over Crystal Palace, Ferdinand said that Terry continues to remain a force in the Premier League despite concerns about his age. Many thought that Terry was finished as a player a few years ago when he rarely featured in the first-team under the management of Rafa Benitez. While last season was a good one, this season appears to be one of the best in Terry’s long playing career. Ferdinand reckons that Terry’s decision to retire from international football undoubtedly has helped the club reap huge benefits from his quality being extended. Chris Smalling says that he wants to be remembered as a player

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling says that he wants to be remembered as a player of great stature than Rio Ferdinand at the club.

Along with Nemanja Vidic, Ferdinand is seen as one of the best central defenders that the club has had in the last decade. Now playing at QPR, the former England international is coming to the end of his career. At almost a decade younger than him, Smalling is seen as the future of United’s defence. He is also close to establishing himself as the England number one centre back after a string of performances this campaign.

Once upon a time, the former Fulham player was seen as a talented player who had a long way to go before establishing himself as one of the top defenders. Signed by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson for £ 12 million, Smalling is starting to repay United with a string of good performances. He has been an ever present in the United back four – especially in the second half of the campaign – and is close to being the permanent fixture in England’s defence along with Phil Jones. During his time at United, Ferdinand won numerous accolades including Premier League and Champions League medals. Continue reading Chris Smalling says that he wants to be remembered as a player
